We do not just hang in the bar drinking all weekend at these things. The two groups I am afiliated with support 2 children's charities. Adrian's PEACE charity (protect,educate,aid,children, everywhere) and Peter's Project Eden. PEACE has had some pretty exciting changes and advancements over the last year and we were informed of even more additions. |

PEACE has a new logo! Course new logo means new shirts and stuff. The PEACE Fund focuses on small, under-funded and hard-working charities who are determined to make a positive difference to the lives of children living in extraordinarily difficult circumstances. |

Adrian also talked about some of the projects they are doing this year. I really enjoyed the couple of presentations about what some of the success' have been and what they hope to do next year. One of those projects involves musicians traveling around promoting the charity. |

Crazy tie contestants. One of the annual fund raising events is the Crazy Tie Day. You get people to sponsor you for wearing a loud tie or ties. Apparently there is a traditional type thing where they wear crazy pants in England, so this is a take off on that. There was a workshop where they had art supplies available to razzle up your tie. Of course once again, I missed it because I was in another workshop. The winner picked by Adrian for the tie contest was Sarrita. I am sorry I did not get very good picks of the tie for you SBO. |
