My Day in Brussels

Brussels is a pretty pretty place. I was a little put off by the folks working the airport bar in brussels when I flew over. When I returned to Brussels on my way home I had a very different experience. While I think the people were mostly reserved in their manner, I found them to be friendly enough once you got settled with them.

I had an overnight stay in Brussels when I flew home. That's what happens sometimes with budget flights. But even staying in a nice hotel, I saved money over all and I got to see an amazing place.

I was in an area near the Grand Palace. I recommend it. Lots to do and see all in a walkable area. Lots of little oddity shops and book stores.

They have a lot of figures in their buildings.

As my friend Brian put it (said in a Charleton Heston voice) "The buildings are made of people!"

It was a very pretty day. It rained a little in Florence the day before I left so it was great to have a bright sunny day.

blah blah blah

I looked about for a place to eat. Having only one night it seemed important. I ended up at a great little place. I have to wait till I have my notes to put the name in. But it was a really comfy place to relax and drink and eat.

I had a HUGE meal, everything was fantastic.

The minute I saw this on the mantle I knew I was in a good place for me.

Friendly staff, lots of charm, great food.

I like places with a lot of crap to look at.

Mo buildings.I am seriously running out of stuff to say.
